examination procedure

The total duration depends on the respective language level. A B1 exam, for example, takes around three hours, including breaks.
The four basic skills of reading, listening, writing, and speaking are tested at all levels.
The oral exam usually takes place in pairs or small groups and includes tasks such as monologues, dialogues, and role-plays.
Each part of the exam is graded separately. To pass, you must achieve the minimum number of points specified for each part.
As a general rule, no aids such as dictionaries or electronic devices are permitted during the examination.
The examination rules are strict. Any attempts at cheating or violations of the rules will result in exclusion from the examination.
